Making the Egg Robot (Ham-Steak) into a credible toy means not leaving the internals dangling around where they could be damaged. I imagine that at least the PID controller will have to be retuned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completed Design Goals for Version 3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Front Cover<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rear Cover<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eye \/ Face<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Long Term Ideas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Machine learning based control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase range of motion of the pendulum (ideally to servo limit of 180 degrees)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tapping the body of the robot to change behavior<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robot holding orientation that it is placed in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Higher friction base material to reduce slipping\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creating \u201cshoes\u201d to improve grip<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A skirt or leotard or other functional and decorative outfit choice for the robot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current shell has \u201cflat spots.\u201d Create smoother curves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to complete dynamic movements like\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rolling over<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Balancing on the top<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Egg Robot is a Cyclops!
